In case you haven't heard, Disney's unwritten motto is 'underpromise and over deliver'. That simply means that you can challenge any rule they have that will inconvenience you.

I know that our passes from last year said that they were only good for x number of days after the first use. However, you could just share a pass to use it up and save a whole one for next year. Or, you could ask them to give you a refund for the unused portion. You may get some resistance, but if you insist to speak with a manager you will usually get your way. You see Disney cannot afford to upset people. Do you know what business they are in? They are in the business of putting a smile on your face!
