Here's some advise from someone who needs a lot of calories to get through the day. I pack a fanny pack everyday with a protein drink(in a can), several Balance bars, a raisin box, and cough drops(good for when all the yelling on stage gets to your throat). Also keep a water bottle handy.
I usually like to eat throughout the day(in addition to eating the regular meals)to keep my energy up which is definately needed at a FIRST competition. The heat and excitement really burns up energy. In addition, it has been my experience that the breakfasts at SPORTS is the way to go to get the day started. Eat a HUGE breakfast to get yourself fueled up to start your day.
Keeping feed and alert is part of the plan to put on a good show in EPCOT. Oh yea, get as much rest as you can too.
