Lunokhod on Nature of Things

Just a heads up to anyone who has the chance to catch a re-run of tonight's episode of "The Nature of Things" on CBC. The second half hour of the show has a great documentary called "Tank on the Moon" on the Lunokhod program.

These are some very cool robots that the USSR landed on the moon back in the very early '70s.... of which I was completely (and rather embarassingly) unaware.

The program is being re-run on CBC Newsworld on Dec. 13, at 7:00pm Pacific (sure, THEY list it as 10:00pm Eastern... but that's just an Ontario bias) and it is worth checking out.

I can only imagine that somewhere in Russia there is a scientist with a .sig file reading, "My other car is on the moon."
