The thing that I noticed was that no one chose any of the teams numbered 300+. I know 308 was 24th and 332 was in the high 20's or low 30's and my team (330) was 35th. There may also have been some other teams along our row that was in the top 48 that didn't get picked.

I only saw 2 of the top 16 teams actually come by and talk to any of the teams. Maybe some of the top 16 teams could comment about how they scouted the teams, but I know one thing, several of the teams in the corner got gyped.

Team 330

: Yes, we went undefeted and failed to get a bid to the eliminations. We also beat some good teams, such as NYPRO and Clinton, Ford and Fraser, and the HOT Team. Needless to say that we were disappointed that we didn't get picked up.

: BUT: I should mention that we were more disappointed in not making the top 16 ourselves. We we in 7th place at one point and then had two tough matches that we had to win with defense. That made us drop to about 19th place. In our last match we had a motor problem. We ended up winning the match but what didn't happen is what is haunting us. Our opponents both pretty much died leaving the playing field empty for us to get a perfect score, which would have given us the #1 seed. Unfortunately, just after the match started we had a problem with the motor that rendered us useless and we blew the big score and had to settle for only 80 points. That dropped us to 24th and the rest is history.

: Anyway, all of the what-ifs are killing us now. But we'll be back. Maybe we'll show our stuff at one of the summer events.
