I wouldn't go that far.
Some of us simply know that "Nationals" is incorrect and wish to help everyone involved with the organization speak precisely; along with helping them construct their robots precisely, write their software instructions precisely, write the rules for their competitions precisely, track their teams' finances precisely, etc.
I pesronally had to work hard to "unlearn" calling it the "Nationals" after I heard folks calling it that. That took brain cells I desparately needed for other things - like walking and chewing gum.
It's surprising that some folks dislike being correct about matters of fact.

PS: On the other hand, if someone were being "corrected" for not holding correct opinions, now that is another kettle of fish entirely....
