OK, I just have to ask. Any girls out there been hit on by an older guy at a FIRST competition? I mean like, much older. Clearly, definitely, older, like there's no way that he could have mistaken you to be his age.

I was volunteering at an FLL regional and was running the teams to their presentation. There was this team of a bunch of like 6 year old little boys and one little girl. The team was definitely father-run, but the kids were little so what can you do. One of them grabs one of the kids, puts it on his lap, and then winks at me. I was like, O.K. that's cool, that could mean anything, he could just be one of those guys that winks at people. Well we started walking to the presentation area. He comes up and starts talking to me, and asking me all of these questions, like how old am I and stuff. We got there and I had to stand there and wait with them until their judges were ready. It seemed like forever. Eventually all of other dads came over too and were interested in FRC, so I got to explain that for a while, and then I booked out of there as soon as I could to get the next team. He winked at me as I turned to walk away. I passed him in the hall again later and he winked again and tried to start talking to me again. I think I murmered some excuse and made it look like I had something official to go do. I'm pretty shy, and I only flirt with people that I really know, if at all (weird, I know), so that was all really awkward and creepy for me.
