Re: Team 548 Apology About Game Hint #4

First, my apologies for praising the act, for considering it was at the 10 o'clock hour on the night before kick-off, I had a gut feeling this was joke, and had not entirely realized how seriously people were taking it.

That said, I know how it feels to try and make something funny and realize that actually, not many are finding it what you intended, and in fact, get the exact opposite response.

It is quite embarrassing, and knowing that, next time this sort of thing happens when the joke is not put as a joke by complete accident, it would be best to just cool all jets, let it pass, and just talk to the guy about it instead of figuratively pouncing on the guy, for I am more than certain NO ONE intends to be ungraciously professional.

The only reason why I pitched in like that is because I had some major sympathy for the other end that was getting criticized (quite brutally at that, I would probably be to tears if my integrity was being knocked out from under me like that), knowing I had been on that end before, and it is not pretty.

Conclusion: it was amusing, I should not have responded like I did, but when I am a mentor, I try to approach things from the other side instead of staying on my plane of things. Such an act should probably never be attempted again, but if it is, should be done in the rumor mill or in chit chat.

...and life goes on

-Joe
