Re: Why the rules have obvious problems
The rules are usually flawed a day or two after kickoff. They release revisions upon inspecting them and probably reading CD. Also, there's no reason to call the GDC "Dumb adults". They're some of the most brilliant people I've ever heard of (and I've met a few, too).
