This is not an easy question to answer. Most people will use their cell phones and bluetooth at events both in the pit and in the stands. However, the power is usually low and the output fairly well filtered to prevent interference with other services. The product might produce interference that could affect the robot control but without looking at the product there is no way to tell. If you think it might produce some interference, you need to check with FIRST engineering before you power up.
