I have a Canon 30D, which allows me to take 5 photos per second. So what I did was simply position myself to get as much flight path as possible in the frame, then held down the shutter button as the ball flew.

You take the individual photos (there are 6 in this particular one) and combine them using a program such as Adobe Fireworks or any number of editors. It's the same way stop motion animation is made. Position your figure, take photo, move figure, take photo, repeat as much as you want, then put the photos in order!


I think Flash allows you to output computer drawn images (such as a logo) as a gif, but I know Adobe Fireworks does too. (And if you know some photoshop, it's really easy to learn how to use Fireworks)
