Ok, this is a bit of a story: we're on our way back from kickoff, & one of our coaches is sitting behind me and my friend. We start talking about how much of the ball hangs below the overpass, and we start talking about how we would solve the problem, yada yada yada. Then our coach (who is a teacher at school) says that this would make a great quiz problem. We don't believe him, and promptly forget how to solve the problem. I walk into class on Monday, and see a diagram of a big circle resting on two little ones with some hanging out the bottom. I walked in and said "You didn't really do that, did you?"
Gist of the story:
-When robotics math problems become do nows in your precalc class (even though you don't need any of the precalc material to solve them.)
