Weird IR Sensor Problem

Our team has a confusing problem. At first our IR sensor was hooked up to a prototype board and it worked well. It was receiving signals from the remote control and everything.

But then, in the course of hooking it up to our test bot, we reversed the pwms, mistakenly plugging the white signal wire into the ground on the digital in/out section.

Since then our board will train perfectly, but when we send a signal after training it, it just blinks an error light repeatedly until we power down.

We checked our 5 volt regulator and it is functioning just fine, and we never smelled any smoke. We also tried two different remotes which each worked when we had the IR Sensor hooked up to our original prototype board. When even rehooked the sensor up to its original prototype board, but it still doesn't work.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice on how to correct this problem???

Thanks in advance, Team 240
