If you wired it according to the Sensor Manual ( http://www.usfirst.org/uploadedFiles...sor_Manual.pdf)
In the sensor Manual it gave you a link to the data sheet on how to mount it.
If you are using EasyC for programming there is a sample code for the GTS in your MyDocuments/Intelitek/easyC Pro/FRC/Projects/Test Code/GearToothTest folder.
