It's like gun safety. You wear your safety glasses, put in earplugs, etc., but at the end of the day, you might pinch yourself cycling the bolt. Worry about the big problems, and try to minimize the occurrence of the small ones. Honestly, if there is a FIRST team whose members never get cuts, scrapes, burns, and other minor injuries, they are probably not building a robot. As for myself, I have done the usual: soldering burns, pinches, dropped stuff on my foot, abraded some skin off, splinters, and had an occasional minor cut. Never anything major though... I save those for when I am in the middle of the woods .
