Nice to hear the support! Here's a copy of the
Media Access Guide off of the Seattle Times site. I think the media kit they talk about would be a good way of getting the attention of the editor.
In the kit will be a press release, which includes a summary of FIRST and its mission as well as the positives of being a part of it.
Also, brochures or pamphlets from other teams will be nice. For example, 2046 has a brochure providing information to sponsors that we could use.
Also, it would be nice to have comments from people about what they like about first. Full names are preferable.
Finally, take some pictures of your team working or having a good time and maybe find some old pictures of the Portland regional from previous years.
When I feel like there's enough 'stuff' I'll send it to the Times editor and hope for the best!
