Okay, here is the GM Service Part Number: 15636696

As of last year, it listed for $383!!!!

It is called a 'Transfer Case Encoder Motor'

Note that you have to buy a larger assembly to get the motor you really want.

I believe this is the part number from GM's 'K' trucks prior to model year 1997. As I have said, it is also used on GM's Jimmy & Blazer, though I don't have the part number for those.
