we're hoping not to. the ball backdrives the motor a bit and can still come out. the material on the "tusks" (as we call them) and on the wheels is a weather stripping and is somewhat grippy, though the ball still slips a bit too much for our liking, so we're looking into that. luckily we still have some time left before ship.
there will eventually be some sort of proximity/touch sensors on the tusks at various points to give us more ball control.
