: My team did receive magnets for use with the reed switches. They were in a very small brown envelope. Take another look. Moreover, you're allowed to use an unregulated amount of magnet material on the robot this year. Now about magnetizing the metal...I'm not so sure. It seems as if that shouldn't be illegal, but we'll see what other people say. However, I think it'd probably end up being in your best interest to use a few little magnets instead. Makes everything easier in my opinion.

If you check the additional hardware list I belive that
Magnets are allowed and you can have any amount. I don't have the list in front of me, but from what I remember I belive that is true.
