Is anyone having problems with these motors? They're supposed to do something like 75 rpm. But we're getting about 35 rpm out of them. We check the battery and even ran it off of an independent power supply and they were still running slowly. Our elevator was supposed to reach top in 4 seconds, we're getting there in 8-10 seconds. Anyone else having this problem?
I don't have the motor specs in front of me, but if that is where you got 75 RPM from it is almost certainly Free Speed or No Load Speed. This is how fast the motor shaft rotates with no load on it whatsoever. With a load on it the motor shaft will rotate slower. How much slower depends on the motor curve, a good approximation for the curve is a straight line from the no load speed to the stall torque.
