The compression fittings for tube insertion on the Festo valves need fairly straight tubing cuts. If you don't cut it straight, or you make 2 cuts to cut through the tubing, it'll leave enough of a gap when the tubing bottoms out in the compression fitting to leave an air path. Check your tubing to make sure that the cuts are good, if not cut it back a little and retry.
