Re: What r ur robot weights as of right now

We're at 108 with a complete manipulator (well, the manipulator isn't actually complete, but we piled the remaining parts on the robot for weighing), the compressor, and a complete drive system. We have yet to add the electricals (should go on on Saturday), all the pneumatic fittings (the tanks were piled on for weighing though), and polycarbonate armor.

I think we'll be close to 120, but our robot hasn't had much weight reduction done to it yet. For example, our chain tensioners weigh 1lb a piece, which could be significantly reduced. I also calculated that we could loose a couple of pounds through some light swiss cheesing of the Toughbox's 50T gears. The first chain reduction on the arm could also be cheesed a bit (I'd a bit squeamish of speed-holing the final reduction though... there is a lot of torque going through that sucker). Beyond that, there are always the old tricks: speed-hole the arm, replace bolts with rivets, and so on.
