Compressor start current is 25 amps and the run current is a little over 10 amps. The compressor is guaranteed to blow the 20 fuse. That is why the 20 amp circuit breaker is recommended

 The fuse on the Spike relay for the air compressor may be replaced with a 20 Amp Snap-Action circuit breaker..
