Compressor start current is 25 amps and the run current is a little over 10 amps. The compressor is guaranteed to blow the 20 fuse. That is why the 20 amp circuit breaker is recommended

The fuse on the Spike relay for the air compressor may be replaced with a 20 Amp Snap-Action circuit breaker..
