Webring: (n) A script that allows web sites to add to a list of sites that share a topic, and allows for links to be created on each member site to the 'next site', 'random site', etc...allowing for easy travel between sites related to each other.

as for benefits...it allows someone who happens to stumble across one team's site to visit other sites related to the Competition, in order to gather more information...
