Team 1025 recently participated in the Ferndale (Mich) Public Schools Extravaganza open house. We were able to show off the robot. Some of the younger kids loved playing with the trackball.
The principal told our teacher/mentor that we were the hit of the Extravaganza. Lots of the high school kids were talking about it the next day. There was also local media coverage.
This served two purposes - getting
FIRST and Team 1025 in the public eye, and to start our recruitment for next year. Nine of our 14 members are seniors.
