You're absolutely right -- when the video was filmed, the drivers were definitely having trouble exiting the 180-degree turn at the correct instant to have the robot headed straight down the track. In the time since the video was shot we have tweaked the PID loop for the steering a little to increase the precision of the steering, which has helped the drivers do better at exiting the turn at the proper instant. More practice is helping, as well.
We hope to be able to get some "obstacle avoidance" laps filmed, too!
