Acutally, that was our exact reason for choosing Ackermann steering. With the two turning wheels in the front, the robot is very easy to drive at high speed around corners. Our robot, of course does require some skill to drive, or rather a good reaction time due to its high speed. Before we put on the traction wheel on the back, we had a kitwheel from 2 years ago. With the lower traction, you could actually quite easily pull off a controlled drift on the back wheel.
