Drive a hour south and you could end up in Southampton County (place of Nat Turner's slave rebellion) or Franklin (some civil war history, but not too much else) and visit Team 1610. Other than Franklin, theres not much to do if you head south of Richmond, but you could head southeast to the seven cities AKA Hampton Roads (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Portsmouth) If you want to head down there, check out
