I strongly disagree.

Just like FIRST teaches teamwork, discipline, accountability, responsibility, hard work, dealing with success and defeat, and fairness, so do sports. You can be the smartest person in the world, but your body will not last that long unless it gets used the way it was designed*, and that means consistent physical activity. Not that many people use the actual sport to make their living, but what is learned is the imnportant part. Just like "it ain't about the robot", one can say "it ain't about the [insert sport device here]".

Even frisbee is a sport. Get out and move around a bit, it's good for you.
