Sorry, couldn't resist.

In my experience, the key to getting sharp photos is simply to let enough light in. Open the aperture all the way up, and crank up the ISO. VCU has pretty bad lighting, but in Atlanta, I was getting 1/100-120 @f4.5, ISO 800. Seemed to work pretty well. Of course, some of this may be limited by availability of hardware.

I used 2 Digital Rebel XTs with Canon's 70-200 f/4 L, Tamron's 28-75 f/2.8, and Sigma's 10-20 f/4-5.6
