: 9. This place tied 126 with 173. Gael Force showed the FIRST world once again what that white-sticky conveyor material was for.
hehe.. it comes in black too.. non-slip mating.. small parts.. works wonders...(great for cleaning up spills too.. Bounty ain't go nothing on us..)
:Last year, not only did they pull off perfect scores repeatedly but in my mind, had close to the number one spot for best bot. This team has great strategy and they are very strong and have a clean-cut strategy.
from 4 years on that team.. strategy is so major.. it's been one of my main jobs since i first joined the team.. and i never realized how very much clinton does strategy until i joined a team and met many others that do barely anything compared too it (it is -extensive- to say the least).. workin' on it 10 years now though... and those perfect scores last year were very much the help of partners.. 175, 236, 88, and of course Juggy.. you guys hadn't scooped that last floppy off the floor at Rumble, we would have never put that 4th perfect score in the bag.. :-)
::They took home the finalist spot from the National Competition. That and, they are the team that is sprouting such geniuses- one who needs no intorduction, Colleen Shaver. The engineers and teachers on this team are doing alot of things right.
thanks - there really are some great people on that team.. Rick, Jorge, Morrison, Jim, Jen, Mr. O.... they teach us well.. i'm not the only sprout off the team.. i guess i just tend to be the loudest ;-).. there's my man Andy Grady... we used to race around the chairs together in those good ol' 126 days..
just wanted to say thanks for the good words as a former member of 126.. and forever a member at heart..
the way i see it.. robots are only as good as the opposing robots challenge them to be and their partners encourage them to be.. we did great (from my experience as a driver) because people expected of us.. and made us play to that higher level.. you become better with competition.. and the more people see you as a 'robot-to-beat' the more you have to work.. and the better you get (that's how i learned to drive.. honestly.. andy and i used to compete on our little course every night.. encouraging each other not only through suggestions and help, but by competing against each other and making each other take it to the next level and do better..)
we make each other the best robots.. but we can also make ourselves better by knowing that we all have 'robots to beat'.. never underestimate.. i totally agree with what you said 'bout your own team being #1.. and we should all see our teams that way...
: 1. There is an explination for why I did not put a team here. I know in my heart the Juggernauts are not only #1 by team number, but also by 'best bot' and also by the all-around team factor. But this is because it is my team. In each of your hearts, your team is number one. You have reasons why your bot and your team are the best that no one else but your team can understand. Congratulate yourselves, for you are all winners who have not only the number one 'bot, but also the number one best team.
