With the addition of the new scoring system (that the winning alliance gets three times the losing alliance's score), the rule that you learn who your ally is 2 minutes before the match has lost effect.

If Dean and his cronies are trying to get us to work together (meet new people) and strategize more, eliminating this old rule would accomplish this even more. As FIRST grows with hundreds of more teams, knowing who your ally is in advance will allow strangers to meet and teams to make new friends.

...But just my two cents, let me know what you think...
