$@#$@#$@#$@#$@#It looks like Dean will have some competition with his iBot.
$@#$@#$@#$@#$@#The University of Oklahoma is developing wheel chairs that can steer themselves to avoid obstacles. It looks like they are in the developmet stage right now. Their plan is to add the functionality of going up/down stairs, but they say that is about three years away.
$@#$@#$@#$@#$@#So I would say that right now Dean has a HUGE advantage over his closest competitiors. I think that if Dean trully wanted to it would be faily simple to add the ability for the chair to steer on it's own. Or al least stear at the level of the University's chair.
