From the Palmetto Regional site:
This year's team social will be held at the University Student Union. FIRST students will have access to the Harcombe Dining Hall, Clemson's ultimate eating experience, where you can find everything from a meat + three, to salads, to pizza. Edgar's, a gathering place for recreational diversion, features bowling, billiards and video games. The Union Courtyard offers an area for socializing, relaxing or strategizing. And most important - our FIRST guests will want to check out the Palmetto Ballroom where they can learn all about Clemson's College of Engineering and Science from departmental displays and representatives. Just a few minutes' walk from Littlejohn Coliseum, the Union facilities will give students an opportunity to eat, play, relax, and learn more about engineering and science opportunities at Clemson University.
To the best of my knowledge everything is
free to the teams. That was one downer of the Peachtree regional (having to pay for the games), but there were lots of them that's for sure. Peachtree did have that huge mall to get lost in, which was nice to wander through.
As far as BBQ, the place out on Hwy 123 is
Big Dave's, very good

The smell from the cooker out front will make you want to stop by. It's a little hole in the wall type place, but those seem to have the best BBQ. There are a lot of places to eat at around Clemson. That's one of the results of being a college town; fast food
