The motor is used on GMC Jimmy's & Chevy Blazers. I think they are used on Tahoes & also some Ford transfer case applications as well.

Basically, the motor is used to shift the vehicle from 2 wheel to 4 wheel drive & vice versa.

It is a great motor. Use it well.

P.S. Don't forget to support the end of the shaft with a 1/4 inch bearing. The transmision will last a lot longer that way. Don't learn this lesson the hard way. JJ
