Re: Programming laptops.

1726 has a few donated laptops that are several years old so they're slow, low on memory, and have the bonus of no serial port so we use the orange VEX cable to program both the VEX robots and the FRC robot. Our programming mentor has his own laptop that he has used to program the FRC robot in the past.

At one regional our rookie year the code in the RC somehow became corrupted, and the programming mentor was on a trip somewhere else, and I used my own really old 150 mhz laptop (with a serial port) to load the code and it worked and I was amazed.
