Gas Springs...

Gas springs can be found on pg. 226 of the 2001 SPI catalog or on some automotive hoods and trunks. Many FIRST teams use the compression type to counterballance arms or sliders (including Chief Delphi 2 yrs ago). I have not been able to find them at Home Depot or Lowes, but that doesn't mean they're not there.

How about allowing us to use screen door return springs? They are nicely packaged with adjustable gass damping, fairly cheap and widely available.

Thanks,

Jim Meyer
