Well Mac's use the same motherboard chipsets, the same processors, the same graphic cards, the same ram, the same optical disks, about the only different thing about Macs vs PC's is that Macs boot off of EFI while PC's still use BIOS. With similar hardware, a PC running OSX will have the same performance as an apple computer running OSX.
