They usually have a hypnotist, several bands (though last year I missed
Dean Simmons and the Kamen Brothers since the closing ceremony took too long :-/), tons of carnival games and attractions and at the end there are fireworks. It's usually a good time for all the students on the teams to relax and have fun after the competition.
And yes, there is free food, though it's nothing to rave over. No matter what tine you arrive, the food is always already cold. Atlanta is known as the only place on Earth where burning Sterno is an endothermic reaction...
