While the strategy of throwing a match may be successful ... in the long run it may cost far more than you realize. To me that sounds a bit too Machiavellian for me ... especially in a program that is supposed to be trying to change the culture.

Please read what I wrote - I specifically said consult your allies - explain your desire and ONLY if they support it, do you and your allies choose to score fewer points than your opponents.
