I don't know about a
pure lapbot being the second pick. I would advise against it just because you're limiting your alliance's capabilities in eliminations. The third robot WILL be a hurdler as well as one that has shown significantly high scores in other regionals and has used top defensive strategies. Two of the best strategic teams are probably the eighth seed alliances that won regionals this year and also the other low seed teams that won because it shows the strength of their strategy and driver capabilities, not to mention how well they work with other teams.
