Is the use of aluminum u-channel acceptable? Or do we have to cut an aluminum tube in half?

Answer:

I think perhaps we should have included U channel on the list, but we didn't. At this point, I think many teams have put in too much time building with the kit we have to add this now, especially when teams can cut a box section in half or bolt two angles together in order to achieve much the same effect.

So...

Bottom line, U channel does not qualify as Tube, Angle or Box.
