Well, we may be up to team number 500 (I know there's at least a team 501 at this point) but a good portion of those are unused (i.e. there was no team 2, 3, or 4 last year). I believe that the team count last year was about 370 or so with about 270 at Nats but that's just off the top of my head.

: Well, since we're already knocking on 500's door in 2000 (Go team Chuba, team #491 from my hometown, Bridgeport, CT) I'd say 600 total teams, 350 at Nats (I'm being totally middle ground & taking the average of Raul's & Colleen's guesses, cause I agree)
