The Lock - tight rule is there so we can re-use the parts next year. Also remember we (my class) will have to disassemble the robot if you do not.
I suggest the following:
1. Use 'Lock Washers', the sharp edge bites well into the alum.
2. Use nuts that have 'Nylock' inserts they work great. ( this is what we always use ) on assemblies.
Do not use Lock tight on our parts. Your bolts and nuts are ok, I would suggest however the answers I have suggested not the chemical answer.
