...everybody from the 22 participating high school programs! The winning ROBOT, however, was 'Juggy Jr.' from Team #1, the Oakland Technical Center Northeast. Top seeded Team #201 Rochester took the Juggernauts to the 3rd finals match but had to settle for second. Extremely close and exciting matches were the rule throughout the finals. Team #33 Avondale and Team #47 Pontiac Central were the semi-finalists, and they had to fight their way through a lot of good teams to get there. Other awards went to: Team #65 Pontiac Northern for 'Creative Engineering', Team #226 Troy for the 'Spirit of the Competition',and Team #245 Rochester Adams for the 'Best Play of the Day'. Rookie teams also won awards: Holly HS was named 'Most Improved', Waterford Schools had the most 'Beautiful 'Bot', and Royal Oak Schools won a special 'Judges' Award'. Congrats to all!
