Thanks and congrats to Bomb Squad

I just want to thank the mentors, teachers and parents of the Bomb Squad for all they've done. There are many teams who've directly benefited from the assistance that Team 16 provides - whether with robot problems or team development. Team 980 thanks you for your help in the pits and beyond.

Both of my son's, Matthew (Class of '03) and Clayton (Class of '08), have had the privilege of being a part of that outstanding organization. The Bomb Squad exemplifies what a Hall of Fame team in FIRST is all about. The dedication of the adults to their mission statement makes every student of the team a more confident and motivated individual. The team has weathered difficult situations in its history, but the students have always remained the focus.

I'm so happy that the Bomb Squad made it to the "Big Show" on Einstein this year. It was great to hear in the pits and in the stands "Bomb Squad is back!" I assure you, they never went away, but this year things came together and maybe the magic is back.

Thank you and congratulations. May the "magic" stay with you for a long time to come...
