I may be biased because it irritates me to have to learn what picture mean in GUI's, but I believe that the argument here goes back to the very core of why we have language. You can only explain so much in flash cards with images, even adaptable ones. We need words for more precision. However, time pressures will most likely lead to the majority using graphics.
