Re: More Atlanta Championship Photos

Thank you, I am glad that the photos were enjoyed. Most of the photos from this year are now available at the KilelrBees Website . Now I just have to work on getting all the photos from last year posted…

Kyle, most of the photos were shot with an Olympus E-500. As things go it is a very affordable camera. I have seen it in a kit with lenses under $500. I have been a fan of Olympus as you get a decent camera for a good value.

When I got home from Atlanta I was not so happy with the pictures. Too many were blurry or dark. I found the Olympus E-510 at MicroCenter with a two lens kit for $529. This camera has an image stabilizer. I have been playing with the camera for a few days now and have found that the image stabilization really seems to work well. I can easily recommend this camera, though everyone has their own opinions in what they prefer. For example the Nikon D300 takes beautiful pictures but is several times the cost and is a much larger camera. It all depends on what you intend to use it on. Outdoors in bright sunlight there is not much difference in picture quality between the best and the worst.

I am a hobbyist myself and most of the year I shoot amusement parks and roller coasters, but if you have any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to help. There are a lot of opinions out there. The best you can do is use the facts and trial and error to help determine what the best is for you and your situation.
