Being a cnc machine operator and programmer for the last summer I would agree. You want to think in terms of sub assemblies so that you can have your workpiece in the machine's work envalope and then just change tools as needed or rotate the part to cut it, but you don't want to make a huge amount of cut if possible. (I hope this is somewhat helpful)
