Re: Mayhem in Merrimack 2008

I apologize in advanced for any misspellings of names.

Here's a list of people and teams we would like to thank. These people helped make the event run so smoothly. I'd have to say this was probably our best Mayhem yet!

The Refs
Tim Baird, Elgin Clock, Ted Boucher, Scott Shaw, Mike Mullinax,
Julia Metzler, Andy Baker, Jeff Waeglin, and Jeff O'Rourke

The Judges
Fran Leach, Robbie Klisiewicz, Ron Reich, and Tom Castelli

Our Announcer
Andy Grady

Our MC
Brittany Jennings

Scoring
Dez (Mike Dessingue), and Mark Koors

Our Queuing Extraordinaire
Jess Boucher

David Bell missed the "Against All Odds" award which was given to 238. They had robot problems the entire day.

Team 40's gracious professionalism extended past the end of the competition. As many of you know, team 1071 is hosting a competition next weekend, so they took the field off of our hands. However, the truck they had doesn't have a tailgate, so team 40 graciously stuck around to help tear down the field and let them use the tailgate on their sponsor's (Intelitek) truck to load 1071's truck.

Thanks to NEMO for holding a class at our competition. I hope you had a turnout like you expected.

Thanks to Andy Baker and Mark Koors for assisting at our competition. They knew they were going to be around so they contacted Dave Kelso offering to help. It's always nice to have someone who knows as much as they do to answer questions. I think Andy had a great time being the ref during the Referee Human Player Match. I'll have a video of that soon.

I know I already posted this, but 121 was recognized for their gracious donation of $200 to pay for any team in need of it. We spoke to 2342 at Battlecry and they were able to attend. So, thanks, 121. They received an enthusiastic ovation from 2342 at the competition.
