Re: FireFox Download Day - June 17 2008

I didn't know that Firefox 3 was out of beta already already. A little odd that they're trying to set a world record while its still in beta.

Anyway, I've been using the latest Firefox 3 release candidate for a while now (because I find Firefox 2 extremely sluggish to the point of being obnoxious). Although there are some new features, I hardly notice them with the following exceptions
  • Better auto-complete in the address bar
  • Huge back button
  • Not all of my add-ons work (hardly a feature)
However, one problem with it is that it crashes multiple times per day on my computer. This is really just an inconvenience, as I can click the button to restore session and I'm back up and running again in a matter of seconds. Nevertheless, it is a slight problem. I don't know if others have been having this problem or if its just me (I'm running vista on a year-old hp desktop pc)

EDIT: According to spreadfirefox.com, the official release date (and download day) is tomorrow, June 17. It's already here for those on the east coast.
